Bowdery and Wilkinson Ltd., Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilders, began life in 1974 with its then Directors, John Bowdery Snr. and Terry Wilkinson. In 1988 Terry Wilkinson retired from the company leaving it under the directorship of John Bowdery Snr. and his son, also John Bowdery, who following his father's retirement is the current Managing Director.

During its life, the company has adapted to many changes in production techniques, specifications and regulation, continually evolving to meet the needs of the industry. Whilst change has been necessary we have resolved never to compromise our high standards of quality and customer service.

During the 1990's the company saw expansion, with major re-building and modernisation at the Powke Lane site to enable greater capacity and the adoption of modern building techniques. Following this work our Services Department took shape with space dedicated to the repair and modification of existing commercial vehicles and parts storage.

Now the company is well set for the demands of the 21st century as an efficient and comprehensive service to the haulage industry.
